Experience
I believe a tutor is more than someone who helps a student when they need occasional help, and that each student needs to have their own specific educational plan. As I have experience working as a business professional, I have worked on contract negotiation and developing relationships myself. Because of this, I believe it's important to try and find a connection with students to make learning more personal as well. I also want my students to be able to take their skill set and apply it, so they can use those tools going forward. I have been tutoring students since I was in college, and my goals are for my students to develop good study habits, teach organization, and manage time well, as well as utilize writing skills that allow for solid outlining and structuring argumentative writing. I graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Political Science and International Studies, and also studied at the New England School of Law, where I received my Juris Doctor. When I'm not tutoring, I am a tennis and soccer player, enjoy playing chess, and like to read up on different start-ups and legal decisions that have taken place recently.
