I've always enjoyed learning, and I love to help students come to enjoy learning as well. I have a wide range of academic skills considering my master's degree in chemical engineering from UC Santa Barbara and my Master of Divinity from theological seminary. I enjoy tutoring because I get to work individually with students and adjust my approach to help them succeed. I focus on helping students develop problem-solving skills so that students walk away with a better understanding of the topic as well as self-sufficiency as a learner. I'm looking forward to tutoring students in algebra, English, essay writing and editing, literature, reading, and other topics, and I also can help students prepare for the GRE, SAT, PSAT, and other exams. When I have free time, I like to swim, ski, play soccer, read, and hike.
