Private tutor in Kirkland, WA

University of Washington, Seattle - BA , International Studies, French minor
Experience
My philosophy as a tutor is to create an engaging but comfortable environment where students can learn and feel comfortable making mistakes. Students can learn from their mistakes as long as they have a supportive instructor. I've worked as a tutor for all ages since I was in high school, both professionally with tutoring organizations and also in private sessions. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in international studies with a minor in French from the University of Washington. After tutoring students through college, I went to live in France where I worked as an English teacher. I have tutored primarily in English concepts, both as a second language and from the perspective of grammar, mechanics, reading comprehension, writing skills, and more. I have tutored students in mathematics as well, including Algebra I and II, and soon I will tutor French, which has been one of my most enduring passions! Plus, if you need a tutor in the summer to keep on track with academics, I would be glad to help! During my free time, I love to travel. I also love to read and write, and I like to stay fit by biking and running.
